Chanel Fashion Show at Pier 30-32

From February 1st through the 16th, Merv Griffin Productions braved storm after storm to install,
operate and remove the Chanel Fashion Show at Pier 30-32 for the San Francisco Opera Guild.
Second day of tent install, one of only two days with no rain!
Fifth day of install, high winds and high tides combined, forcing water up through storm
drains. Winds were high enough to rip many of the tent wall sections that had been
installed the day before.
At high tide about 6" of salt water was on the deck of the pier, flooding
work areas and delaying installation of lighting equipment. Cross bracing
on remaining tent walls is visible in the tent.
