Earthquake repairs were still underway as Festa Italiana returned to Pier 45 for the first time since the Loma Prieta Earthquake. While a large part of the floor had been repaired by September 1995, the front entrance still looked like this, two weeks before the show.

Same area as above. What a difference 2 weeks makes!

Only half of the shed had been paved by show time, so it was necessary to use asphalt to ramp between the high and low floor areas. Why the water on the floor? No roofing material on the roof!

Note open trench in foreground. The repairs to the front part of Shed A had not been completed when work started. This trench would claim two forklifts on the day before Festa opened!
